Welcome! Tally ho!

Our B.V.I. Adventure is designed to give our family, friends and any other interested followers a look into the life of two expatriates making their way on the island of Tortola. Tortola is the largest island in the British Virgin Islands.

So, why did we move 2,000 miles away from our home in Knoxville, Tennessee? Michael accepted a position as the director of retail and international sales for a Caribbean clothing brand.

Cheers!

Day 50: A Night of Firsts

For as long as I remember, I've been going to the salon to get my hair cut.

My first memories are of Kathy.  {I think it was it with a "K" - Mom, can you help?} Then Matt and most recently Elizabeth at Salon W - but tonight - we had our first haircuts on the islands.

We didn't have to go far either.  Our stylist, Laura, came to us!  That's right, she came here to Gecko Manor.  {Did you know that was the name of our place?  I may have omitted that from the Grand Tour post a few weeks ago.}

Anyway, here she is in action!  Adam came over to get his hair cut too - we figured we might as well make a night out of it!

I made dinner and within a few hours, we all looked "like new!"
{Oh and the menu:  salmon (with Pusser's seafood seasoning of course!) topped with a fresh mango salsa, asparagus, and basmati rice.}
