Welcome! Tally ho!
Our B.V.I. Adventure is designed to give our family, friends and any other interested followers a look into the life of two expatriates making their way on the island of Tortola. Tortola is the largest island in the British Virgin Islands.
So, why did we move 2,000 miles away from our home in Knoxville, Tennessee? Michael accepted a position as the director of retail and international sales for a Caribbean clothing brand.
Cheers!

Day 157: Buckle Up! Or Else...
As Michael was headed to work on Monday, he got a not-so-friendly reminder to buckle up.
He pulled out of our driveway, went down one hill and up another. As he reached to put his seatbelt on, a police car traveling the other direction passed him. In his rearview mirror, Michael saw the car make an immediate u-turn and turn on its flashing lights. He knew he was in trouble.
Michael pulled over and had a nice little chat with the officer about the importance of buckling up BEFORE driving. And to make sure he doesn't forget, the policeman gave him this:
Yep, another $100 ticket. {You remember the last one we received for parking on the curb at the movies!?!?!}
Michael had to wonder - had he NOT been fastening his seatbelt when the officer passed him, would he have even noticed that Michael wasn't wearing one???
